TODAY I found the shopping experience in Tavistock high street a worthwhile and pleasant experience, with personal attention of the highest quality.

It would be a shame for the community to lose this kind of shopping experience — individual, detailed customer care.

Hopefully, the life and skills in our high street will not be lost to the supermarket regime and we trust the highway engineers will be able to solve the predicted increase in the congestion problems in Plymouth Road, following the opening of Tesco this autumn.

I would recommend residents to take the guided walking tour around Tavistock to gain insight into our unique and special town.

Too much change so quickly is never a good thing. Hopefully the dynamic proposed developments, providing new opportunities in the 21st century, can be integrated successfully, without loss of the special character and significant uniqueness of Tavistock.
