AN Okehampton air cadet has won honours in the Inter-Squadron Cross Country Running Championships, held at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint.
Cadet Corporal Tim Stephens of 2443 Squadron (Okehampton) Air Training Corps won the bronze medal in the junior men's section of the event.
Tim, who is this year's Mayor's Cadet, was presented with his medal by Wing Commander Mike Symons.
His success has qualified him to represent the Plymouth and Cornwall Wing in the South West regional competition at HMS Raleigh on November 30.
Cross country running is one of many activities offered by the Air Training Corps to young people aged between 13 and 18.
