MY inherent belief in the goodness of human nature has been affirmed by the following.
On Tuesday week, having withdrawn £100 in £20 notes, I carelessly put the notes into my handbag and not my purse.
I shopped at Stoke?s and realised by the time I reached Kivell?s that my bag was open and the notes had fallen out. I immediately retraced my steps, but to no avail.
About an hour later I reported the loss to the police, in vain hope.
Imagine my delight when informed that money had been handed in. One person had handed in £20 and a group of people £60.
I wish to express my thanks, gratitude and appreciation to these honourable unknown people. Your honesty is to be celebrated.
