BUDDING footballers in the Okehampton area are being offered the chance to take part in a summer soccer camp run by Plymouth Argyle.

The Pilgrims? Football in the Community Scheme is holding the soccer school at Okehampton Community College on Wednesday, August 25 and Thursday, August 26, in conjunction with OCRA.

The two-day event is open to boys and girls between 7 and 14 years of age. The course is run by qualified FA coaches and will feature skills exercises, games, prizes and certificates and lots of fun.

l OCRA are also holding their summer holidays sport and arts days at the college throughout August.

Among the sports on offer on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays over the next fortnight are netball, football, cricket, tennis, trampolining, hockey, squash, martial arts, swimming and climbing. There will also be a full range of arts activities on each of the themed days, including clay painting, glass painting and mask making.

The activity days are suitable for children aged from six up to 14 and take place between 10am and 3pm at the college.
