BARBARA White certainly hit the jackpot when her sister gave her a ticket for the Tavistock Lions Club’s Carnival draw as it turned out to be the winning ticket!

Mrs White recently received her prize, which was a limited edition print entitled ‘Jackpot’ by Aaminah Snowdon featuring a red squirrel eyeing up a muffin, from Rik Hawkins of the Tavistock Picture Framing Gallery who had very kindly donated the prize.

Lion Brenda Moyse, who had organised the draw on behalf of the club, thanked Rik and staff for their continued support of the club and also the other companies and individuals that had kindly donated prizes which had helped the club raise just over £2,000 from the draw.
