HOTEL Endsleigh will be opening its doors for charity this weekend, taking part for the first time in the National Garden Scheme. On Sunday (June 8) the gardens will be open to the public between noon and 5pm as part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS), which sees gardens across the county open to the public to raise money for nursing and caring charities. The garden at Hotel Endsleigh, on the banks of the River Tamar, was originally designed by Repton 200 years ago in 1814. There are also formal gardens around the house, a picturesque dell and arboretum with many unusual trees. Entrance to the open garden is £5, free for children, which includes the gardens and home made biscuits and tea in the stables. The garden will be open again for the NGS on Sunday, July 20 from noon to 5pm. For more information about the NGS, visit http://www.ngs.org.uk">www.ngs.org.uk
