A TAVISTOCK businesswoman has been named online entrepreneur of the year in the Mumpreneur 2014 awards — an accolade that recognises successful online-only businesses owned and run by entrepreneurial parents.

Jenny Adjene runs Hip Hip Hooray, which specialises in customisable stationery for all sorts of celebrations.

The Mumpreneur Awards is a national, annual awards ceremony run by Mumpreneur UK, the country's biggest support network for business and entrepreneurial parents.

Jenny said thousands of very hard-working, innovative and creative 'mumpreneurs' were nominated for the awards so she was 'beyond thrilled' to have won.

Jenny said: 'Thanks to every website visitor and customer who has ever put their trust in us, recommended us to a friend or otherwise encouraged us along the way!

'We are really excited for the journey ahead and can't wait to see what's in store for Hip Hip Hooray!'

The awards are sponsored by Amazon. Amazon UK's Director of Seller Services Chris Poad presented the award to Jenny.
