STUPID though the expensive alterations to the Drake roundabout were, I wonder how many accidents at that location are simply the result of bad driving.

Motorists would fail their driving tests if they failed to use their indicators, so why do they often seem to consider it unnecessary afterwards? It is important to signal when turning left, but vital when turning right.

Many times at the Drake Statue roundabout I have had the experience of an oncoming vehicle, that appears to be going straight ahead, suddenly turning right across my path, having failed to indicate his intentions to turn right. This is not just discourteous, but highly dangerous.
