Tavistock Town U15s 6
St Cleer U15s 1
TWO wins in three days, both against rivals for promotion have given Tavistock a boost after a disappointing exit in the semi final of the league cup.
Tavistock took the game to their opponents from the outset. Two early efforts were ruled out for offside but Hicks and Panter put Tavistock two up as Town dominated the first half.
At the start of the second half St Cleer pressed in an attempt to get back into the game and a lack of concentration in the Tavistock defence saw them pull a goal back.
It was looking like Tavistock might begin to rue not taking their chances and making the game safe in the first half, but they slowly regained their composure with Hicks completing a second half hat-trick to cap a fine performance. An own goal completed an emphatic victory and an excellent team performance.

Mayflower FCC U15s 0
Tavistock Town U15s 1
TAVISTOCK travelled to Plymouth to face Mayflower who had inflicted Town's only home defeat of the season.
In a game of two well matched teams but Tavistock always held the greater threat and but for a fine performance from the Mayflower keeper the win might have been a bigger margin.
Tavistock rarely looked in any danger of conceding a goal but as the game drifted into injury time it did look as if Mayflower would hold out for a point.
In the first minute of stoppage time at the end of the game Tavistock won a corner kick and a fine delivery saw Northmore finish with an outstanding volley to take all three points and keep their title hopes alive.
