ONLY a few weeks ago, the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats were promising us that they would not privatise the Royal Mail and get rid of our post offices.
Four weeks ago you voted for a hung parliamentand these two parties won the right to change their minds about a lot of their promises. Here we go again! We are about to lose many more post offices and with this will come more redundancies.
As usual, the promises made were election sweetners with no intention to carry them out. But I won't say 'I told you so'.
The Royal Mail have made a small profit but not enough to cover the £1-billion pension deficit.
If the Government stopped paying the EU £10-billion per year and traded with them and the Commonwealth instead, we could only gain and the money drain would stop and so would the recession.
