TWO gardens near Yelverton will be opened to the public this Sunday to raise money for Children?s Hospice South West. Larkrise and White House gardens situated at Crapstone will open their doors from 11am to 5pm. Linda Downing, chairman of the Buckland Monachorum friends area group, said: ?They are two beautiful gardens, in a lovely setting, and they are beautifully kept.? The owners of the two gardens wanted to help raise money for the CHSW along with a local hairdresser and cricket club. The lady who owns the hairdressers opposite the gardens has offered to clear out her shop and allow people to use it as a tea room for the day while Yelverton Cricket Club offered to help by allowing people to use their field as a car park on the day. Admission to both of the gardens is £2.50 on the day. Linda said: ?We have always had terrific support from everyone in the Yelverton area. The Buckland Monachorum Area Friends Group has, over the years, had incredible support. The hospice really touches people?s hearts.? The hospice is working hard to complete its main project - to set up a home at Charlton Farm, just outside Bristol. It hopes to complete this by next spring. The home will provide help to more than 200 families.
