A DEVON charity is calling on people in West Devon to organise a fundraiser to mark this year's Action for Brain Injury week, which takes place in April. The charity, which supports adults with acquired brain injuries at centres across the county — including one at Halwill Junction — is hoping to make this year's awareness raising week the most successful ever. Nick Hall, Headway Devon's fundraising officer, said: 'We urgently need donations so that we can improve life for the hundreds of people with brain injuries who live in Devon. Action for Brain Injury week is the perfect opportunity to get involved. 'We are looking for anyone who could find some spare time between March 31 and April 6 to organise a coffee morning, pub quiz, raffle, jumble sale, or sponsored event. 'There is a critical need not just to raise money but also awareness of this hidden disability.'
