OKEHAMPTON Christians are travelling to Kenya next month to help African pastors and their wives as they tend to the needs of their spiritual flock. Chris and Brenda Bourne from Inspiration Church of the Nations will be visiting the Living Water International project in Nairobi with which the church has built strong links in recent years. It is hoped it may be possible to bring one of the pastor?s daughters back to the UK, to complete her A-levels in Okehampton, where she would like to study communications. The project to bring clean water to those living in poverty in Kenya was set up by Bishop Isaiah Challo who visited Okehampton last year. Mr Bourne said the church was keen to meet people directly and if they did give money they put it straight into the hands of the people running the projects instead of going through a third party agency. The Bournes will be joined by Matt and Ellie Parsons from Connections Church, Cardiff on the ministering visit.
