A NEW edition of a guide to Dartmoor National Park for less mobile visitors details a wide range of sites that can be enjoyed.

Despite its rugged nature and challenging gradients, Dartmoor still offers areas accessible to wheelchair users, families with pushchairs and young children, and the visually impaired.

'Easy-going Dartmoor', published by DNPA in conjunction with Dartmoor for All, contains a wealth of access information and street maps of eight settlements, and comes with an accompanying set of 11 route cards providing detailed maps of a variety of walks in locations ranging from the disused railway at Princetown to the more sheltered Teign Valley.

The route cards detail the type of path surface, the length, the gradient and camber and the width, together with a list of the accessible facilities nearby.

'Easy-going Dartmoor' is available from DNPA information centres, priced £2.50 or from the High Moorland Visitor Centre, Princetown, PL20 6QF, by post priced £3.20 including post and packing.
