Helpful advice on offer for Dartmoor hill farmerstown residents

HILL FARMERS in Devon will find help is at hand with a new initiative set up by the Dartmoor National Park Authority.

The Dartmoor Hill Farm project aims to implement practical initiatives such as setting up a labour sharing scheme, providing access to training, advising on grants and available funding, and providing information on marketing opportunities.

The long term purpose of the scheme is to contribute to the sustainable development of Dartmoor hill farming by creating farmer-led focus groups.

A launch evening for the project is to be held at the Two Bridges Hotel near Princetown on February 23 at 7.30pm.
