THERE is an opportunity for residents in Tavistock to influence the shape and activities of the town when this month's TaVi forum discusses two topics of local importance.
Firstly, the proposed BID — Business Improvement District for Tavistock — which the chamber of commerce believes is the biggest commercial opportunity the town has seen in the last two decades.
This topic will be followed by a return to the discussion at September's meeting on the shape and activities of the Tavistock and Villages Market Town Partnership.
The partnership wishes to pursue some deliverable projects that will make a difference in Tavistock and its surrounding villages. It is looking for more involvement from those living in the surrounding villages.
The forum has also discussed and influenced plans under West Devon's core strategy; held lively debates and prioritised action to support community and other transport improvements and to support 'grow local' projects.
It is hoped that town and borough councillors and representatives of other local organisation will be present to join the deliberations.
All are welcome to come along to the open forum meeting at 2 pm on Tuesday November 9 at the Wharf, and have their say or even become part of the group.
