I WORK for Miller and Son estate agents, opposite the Tavistock Town Council offices on Drake Road.
Each Saturday during the summer months there are a number of weddings taking place, most of which have their wedding photographs taken on the steps fronting to Drake Road.
On each side of the steps are gutter downpipes which are badly corroded, covered in rust and desperately need painting.
I have often thought how nice it would be if the council would tidy up this area as it would be much nicer for those getting married.
But, despite the extensive works and alterations which have recently been undertaken to the building, there is no evidence that the council are going to address this very public eyesore.
Even a register office wedding is an expensive business these days, so how about giving something back to the taxpayer by brightening up their wedding photos?
