OKEHAMPTON started brightly with Conor Kendrew, playing full back, breaking through to score and duly converted by Liam Wilkins. Liam who, despite getting tackled near the line, got up as not held to score a try of his own. After some good running from the backs, a quick pass to Luke Dennis allowed him to burst through to touch down under the posts. Jake Barber playing second row picked up the ball on the opposition 22 and ran through to score his first of the season. Then just before half time, Luke scored and Okes' fifth.
With 12 players aside and a switch round of some players, the second half was a closer game. Cheltenham put on some pressure and ran the ball out wide before crossing the line for a try. The Okes then picked up their game again with Jordan Cornthwaite running through from half-way to score. After some good pressure in the middle the ball came to James Balch to touch down. The last try came from Deane Andrew who evaded a few tackles to score under the posts. Liam converted all the Oke tries. Daniel Lee used his strength to hand off many players, Josh Bush tackled strongly, Dean Abrams caught well, Luke's ran hard. There were also other notable performances from Alex Arthurs, Jason Winser, Alex Hillman, John Malseed and Joe Beer, who was loaned to Cheltenham for the game.
