OLYMPIC modern pentathlete Heather Fell from Tavistock is among Team GB and Paralympic GB athletes featured in a special photographic exhibition in London. A picture of her in her fencing gear on Dartmoor is one of those selected to be in 'Britain United' sponsored by official Olympic sportswear supplier adidas.
The photographic and digital exhibition, entitled Britain United and situated on London's Southbank, features 20 Olympic and Paralympic athletes on 2.5m high back-lit frames, which can be seen from across the Thames.
All Team GB and ParalympicGB athletes featured in the exhibition come from all corners of the UK. Locations included their home towns, schools, beaches, forests and moors and the places where they first began the training that has taken them on their path to sporting success.
Apart from Heather other athletes showcased include British diving prodigy Tom Daley, Olympic and Commonwealth Games gold medalist Marlon Devonish, London Marathon winner and Paralympian Shelley Woods and world champion track cyclist Victoria Pendleton. More than 15 different sports are covered in the exhibition across ten different disciplines. All were shot wearing the adidas Team GB and Paralympic GB kit that they will be wearing in August, as part of adidas's partnership with the British Olympic Association and the British Paralympic Association.
