MORE than 120 people attended a celebration concert last weekend, to mark the 25th anniversary of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People in West Devon. The event at Tavistock parish Church was deemed a ?huge success? by organisers, raising more than £900 for the charity. ?Changing Lives? was the title of the event and featured performances by Launceston Male Voice Choir and Launceston Town Band. The concert was organised by the Devon and Cornwall Borders Fundraising Group, one of the various branches of the charity. Volunteer for the South West Puppies Socialising programme, another branch of the charity, and organiser of the concert, Tim Sutton-Woodhouse from Lifton, said: ?The event was really successful ? just magic. There was an eclectic mix of music and songs. People even said when are we going to do it again.? Jackie Sothon, regional fundraising manager, said: ?Everybody enjoyed the event. The choir was fantastic and they put on a grand performance.?
