TAVISTOCK District Nurses recently received two generous donations, enabling them to purchase lifesaving equipment.

Two new Coagucheck Machines were purchased, with donations from the Tavistock and District Nursing Trust Fund and Devon County Council member Debo Sellis’ community fund, for the district nurses to use when checking blood levels in patients on Warfarin.

Devon County Council contributed £370 and Tavistock District Nurses Trust donated £529 for the new machines.

The Tavistock and District Nursing Trust, run by a group of trustees, has been operating since the establishment of the NHS and provides funds for people in need.
