POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of a headstone and items of sentimental value from the graveyard of St Paul's Church in Yelverton. The incident happened some time between December 31 and February 3. Under the headstone was an envelope containing items of sentimental value said the police, who added that it was part of a series of incidents which appeared to be against the family involved. The crime number is JT/08/124 and the officer in charge is PC Graham Seaborne who can be contacted on 08452 777444.
