THE sudden death of Chris Powell robs the town of one of its most valuable members. My condolences to his family in their bereavement. May he rest in peace. No sooner was he posted to Okehampton College as its principal than he moved to town and became involved in the development and well being of his newly adopted home. I often met him not only at the college but at many meetings especially that of the Market and Coastal Towns Initiative where he was full of ideas to shape the future of Okehampton.
