THE head girl of Mount House School, has been awarded a music scholarship to her chosen secondary school, Sherborne Girls' School in Dorset.

During her time at Mount House, Flora Wordie has shown herself to be an outstanding musician. Last year she won several awards at the Saltash Festival, for vocal and instrumental performances.

She is head chorister of the chapel choir, and a member of the school vocal group 'Voicebox'.

Flora is an able flautist and pianist and a member of both the school orchestra and of the flute ensemble. She has recently auditioned for the National Children's Orchestra.

She has also represented the school at netball, hockey and rounders.
