TAVISTOCK College principal John Simes will be changing places with a pupil in aid of the project to get the college?s swimming pool back in action.
The various Parent Teachers Students Associations are organising fund-raising events to supplement the grants already in place to rebuild the pool.
Year 9 PTSA is planning an auction of promises on June 19 ? but advance bids are invited as soon as possible for the opportunity for a pupil to change places with the principal on June 9.
Addy Chichester said it was hoped the money raised would put the pool back in action, together with all mod cons and a roof.
Mr Simes will attend all classes and be dressed in full uniform.
Among items to be auctioned will be fishing for a day, exercise sessions, a two-hour riding session, a trip round a submarine, a man with a chainsaw for half a day, a Brittany Ferries crossing and two firemen in uniform to clean two homes.
The auction will take place at the Ordulph Arms at 7.30pm on June 19.
