POLICE have released the above photofit image of a burglar who struck twice in Tavistock on October 29.
As reported in last week?s Police Desk, the man, described as 40 years old and 5ft 7ins tall, entered two houses at Westbridge Cottages within 45 minutes.
The offender was seen by the occupant of the house in each case, but officers stress there was no physical contact of any kind.
The first incident was at 11pm, when a resident found the man standing in his kitchen. The intruder immediately ran away.
At 11.45pm, he entered another house in the same area and went upstairs, passing the occupant who was asleep on the sofa.
The resident heard a noise and went upstairs where he found the man in the bedroom. The intruder opened a window and made his escape.
He is described as having a slim build and a distinctive long, pointed nose.
