TAVISTOCK Pannier Market’s summer event has seen more than 500 people mingling with ‘celebrities’.

Organisers of the ‘I’m a Celebrity and I’m in Here!’ event have placed 12 life sized celebrities in and around the market.

Shoppers are being encouraged to upload their picture with their favourite celebrity to social media to be in with a chance to win a 50-inch 4K smart television. Other prizes include free children’s tickets to Dartmoor Zoo, free cinema tickets to The Wharf in Tavistock and a free goody bag.

Event organiser Andrew Facy said: ‘Our events are eagerly anticipated and we have staged this year’s event due to popular demand, one of the best things about this is parents can relax and browse the market whilst children complete the hunt, it has proved to be great fun for the whole family.’

June Lovelady from Liverpool said: ‘This is our first visit to this area and we have fallen in love with Tavistock, we thought the market was one of the best we have seen and now we have done the hunt we will be visiting Dartmoor Zoo tomorrow with our free tickets and we will definitely visit the cinema during our holiday.’
