HATHERLEIGH Cricket Club are looking forward to the start of a new season and hopefully a lovely sunny summer. 

Club captain Richard Tidball said: 'We have excellent facilities at Hatherleigh and field a broad range of teams, playing two senior men's teams in the Devon League, one in the North Devon League, one in the Buckley Cup 20/20 competition as well as a number of other cup competitions and friendly fixtures. 

'We have a ladies team who play in the Devon Ladies' League and also participate in tournaments and friendly fixtures.  Alongside these we run colts' teams for all ages from U10s to U15s.'

Indoor training is well underway for both the men's and ladies' teams and outdoor nets will start for senior men's team on Tuesday nights from April 7.  

The ladies' practices are on Monday nights, starting on April 20.  The club is holding a registration evening for colts on Wednesday, April 15, starting at 6.30pm.
