Bodmin A 1

The central midfield duo of Aveyard and Edwards were dictating the tempo of Tavistock's game, feeding the wings to create early chances. Cowen broke the deadlock after 12 minutes when the ball broke to him and he lashed the ball past the 'keeper's inside post.

Tavistock introduced debutant Copland who proved to be a thorn in Bodmin's side all afternoon.

The visitors doubled their lead before half time when Edwards fed the ball to Richards who set up Cowen, his fluffed reverse stick shot was finished off by Holland.

At half time the away side were urged to carry on doing as they had in the first half and not to let Bodmin back into the game. All hopes of a Bodmin fight back were crushed when Edwards rounded off a beautiful passing move by lashing the ball home.

Cowen scored the pick of his three goals next when his first time shot from Holland's pass left the 'keeper with no chance. Cowen's tireless performance brought him a deserved hat-trick when he slotted home from close range.

Bodmin came close to scoring when they broke away from Tavistock's defence, their striker rounded Mingo in goal only for his shot to be saved on the line by Costello.

Bodmin did finally get a consolation when the forward received the ball from a long corner and fired the ball into the goal from a tight angle.

But further goals for Tavistock from Edwards and Holland finished off the game.
