SCIENCE, religion, reason and faith will be explored at a talk in Tavistock this month.
It will be given by lawyer Martin Cavender who directs a work called Springboard, for the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in UK and around the world.
Four years ago he directed Resource, a Christian organisation concerned with renewal of the individual, the church and transformation of the community.
As a lawyer, Mr Cavender is always looking for evidence and this is particularly true of the whole question of science and religion, reason and faith. His talk is called, Science has disproved faith: True or False?
The event, organised by Taste and See and Food for Thought, is at Tavistock Town Hall on Friday January 30, 7pm for 7.30pm. It will appeal to anyone interested in the question of science and faith, regardless of personal belief.
Everyone is welcome, men and women, whether single, couples or groups. There are no age limits. Tickets, £10 for two courses, including vegetarian option and sold on a first come first served basis, are available from Georgina's pet shop in West Street or Linda Medland on 01822 615940.
Taste and See and Food for thought are organised by a committee representing churches in the Tavistock area. For further details contact Ruth Newman on 01822 616859 or Martin Watts 01822 852400.
