SIXTEEN runners from Stannary Hash House Harriers battled the blazing heat and the steep ascents for this year?s Burrator Horseshoe Run on Saturday. The run itself is part of the Meavy Oak Fair experience and is extremely well organised by Nigel Jenkins from DH3 and Kate Luffingham. This year the organisers were celebrating the event?s tenth year anniversary and, as ever, it was a huge success! First SH3 home was Andrew Vernon closely followed by Paul Sturtridge, who also won the first V50 prize. Liz Miall was the first SH3 lady home, running a superb time after only just recently joining the hash. Stannary Hash House Harriers meet every Monday at 7.30pm at various locations surrounding the Tavistock area. If you would like to join visit http://www.stannary.com">www.stannary.com. The run is usually for about an hour and is very social. Members visit a local pub afterwards for well deserved drinks and food.
