FOR Children In Need night fun tomorrow (Friday), you will have a hard time beating the Hard Place Band, the Okehampton group playing a special charity gig in the town?s Charter Hall.
The eight-piece soul outfit with a punchy horn section have been performing for more than ten years across the South West. Nigel Wayne, tenor sax player in the band, said they had organised the dance because they wanted to ?give something back? to Okehampton.
?Everyone is giving their services for free,? said Nigel. He said this meant all proceeds would be split between the two charities benefitting: the Children In Need Appeal and Devon Air Ambulance.
The show takes place at the Charter Hall, Market Street, Okehampton, tomorrow (Friday) from 7.30pm.
