Ivybridge were quick on the break and Shaw and Glasspoole had to tackle back constantly. Rose and Hammond worked well together and Turner was strong on the right wing but shots were wide of the mark. Play went from end to end and new signing Maguire pulled off some fine saves. Saunders, Eales and Moody joined play, but at half-time there was no score. In the second half Tavistock started putting good passes together and Turner broke through to slot over into the goalmouth. Rose read the pass well and jumped over the ball to let Gordon, who was in a better position, strike home. Saunders did a driving run and slotted over to Hammond whose shot just went wide of the mark.
