AN opportunity to learn the art of stone-walling will be available on Saturday April 14, as part of this year's Tamar Valley Spring Trail Festival.

Participants can spend the day at Deer Park Farm in Luckett, near Callington, with Mansel Grant, who has been building and repairing stone banks for more than 40 years, learning the principles of stone walling and can then put their new knowledge into practice by helping to restore a hedge bank.

The day will run from 10am to 4.30pm, and will cost £30 per person. Tools will be provided but please bring work clothes and boots (steel capped if possible), suitable for April weather, together with food and drink for the day.
