HANDS-on creative courses are being hosted on Dartmoor during the spring and summer for people to extend their skills and gain a deeper understanding of the landscape.
Contemporary arts organisation Aune Head Arts, which is based at Princetown, is holding its creative walking and writing residential retreats at the Bellever Youth Hostel, where participants will spend time in the varied landscapes of high moorland, conifer forest and river valley.
The 'Scribble' course runs from April 17-19 and will be led by writer/performer/walker Phil Smith. He is inviting artists in any discipline to join him and be guided through dense forest and across open fields in order to find and finesse their own words. Two other courses will follow in May and July.
Aune Head Arts says participants of these workshops learn through shared laughter, frustration and joy from time spent together in the rain, mist, sun and under the stars.
