A woman from Tavistock has won a luxury hamper worth £50 after completing a survey aimed at helping West Devon Council improve its services.
Joyce May filled out the Getting to Know You Survey when she visited the council's Tavistock Community Morning in Bedford Square in September.
The survey will help the council understand the needs of local people and how services can be tailored to meet those needs in the future.
Everyone who filled out a questionnaire at the community morning was entered into a prize draw and Mrs May's name was pulled out of the hat.
She said: 'I forgot all about doing the survey and only found out I had won the prize draw when my husband reminded me to check my emails.
'The hamper is very nice and great to have in time for Christmas, and when we've eaten the contents, I think the basket will go very well in my bathroom!'
Joyce is pictured receiving her hamper from council officer Dotty Allan.
