To mark the centenary year, grandmothers, mothers, aunties and sisters can assemble in the Meadows and take part in a number of low key activities.
During the war years, Guiding provided good grounding in leadership roles in military and civilian life, and helped others through hardship. Today, young women can take part in various adventure activities and can go on to high level careers.
Past and present Guides and Brownies are invited to the Meadows between 2pm and 4pm, where they can register on the centenary record book at 2pm, take part in the rally at 3pm and enjoy singing until 4pm, finishing with a picnic in the park.
Visitors are welcome to bring an item of Guiding wear or memorabilia.
