GIRLS all over Tavistock are eager to join in all the fun and adventure on offer from the Guides — but due to a shortage of adult leaders, there is a growing waiting list.
Now the guides' district commissioner Maggie Peacock is asking for people who can spare a little time to help.
From the age of five onwards, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet for up to one and a half hours each week. Those aged 14-18 can help with activities in the younger groups as well and their own Ranger Units.
The Guide Association has had a long running and well respected reputation in Tavistock, offering friendship, adventure, community action and leadership training.
If you think you have what it takes to join the team of experienced leaders, feel free to drop into any unit meeting for more information or contact Mrs Peacock on 841623. Training is 'on the job', and the other Guiders will always be there to help.
