WHETHER you have a three metre square garden or a three acre field, there should be something of interest for everyone at the Cotehele Smallholders' Weekend which is being held outside the grounds of Cotehele House on July 30 and 31.
For anyone considering keeping bees or chickens then Tamar Valley Honey and James Robbins will both be there to advise people on the logistics of 'backyard poultry' and producing honey and other related bee products.
Locally produced crafts will be well represented with willow basketmaking, spinning, knitwear as well as Kit Hill Alpacas who will be bringing a couple of their animals as well as a range of the finished products.
Barry Mays, who is based on the Cotehele estate, will be demonstrating green woodworking and will be giving information about the courses he is offering in the coming month.
The Tamar Valley AONB will be promoting the Tamar Grow Local project and Chris Groves, the Cotehele Orchard Officer will be joining them to advise on all things related to fruit trees.
A range of smallholding equipment will be available for sale, an assortment of old gardening tools and Animal Arks will be bringing a range of shelters including one for humans, a yurt. There will also be talks, demonstrations and stands.
