THE many organisations that support people with disabilities in Tavistock came together to host an information event recently.

The event was deemed very successful and was attended by many people.

Visitors were able to get invaluable information from organisations, including Tavistock Area Support Services, Tavistock Memory Café, Tavistock Stroke Support Group, Tavistock Parkinson's Support Group, Tavistock Macular Degeneration Group, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, West Devon Connect, Call 24, Devon Carers, Launceston Mobility, Action For Hearing Loss, Oakhouse Foods and Living Options Devon.

There was also an opportunity for visitors to have their say on how they are affected by the changes happening.

The event will be repeated on the fifth Tuesday of the month — May 30, August 29 and October 31.
