THE EX20 charity lottery has recently made donations through its community fund to three local organisations, bringing the total disbursed this quarter to £5,000. The 1st Okehampton Scouts received a cheque for £1,000 towards the refurbishment of their scout hut, £1,000 was awarded to help Okehampton stage another Battle of the Bands this summer, and Belstone Village Hall was given £400 for new kitchen equipment and utensils. Cllr Christine Marsh, who launched the lottery five years ago, said she was pleased the fund had been able to help so many worthy projects which benefitted the communities in Okehampton and the surrounding area. Other groups the EX20 Lottery has supported in the last quarter include Okehampton Bowling Club and North Tawton Youth and Community Centre. Anyone who wants to become a member of the EX20 Lottery can contact Cllr Marsh on 01837 52350. l THE winner in the March 22 EX20 Lottery was Mrs M C Bolt from Okehampton, who won £80.40 first prize .Second prize was won by Mr R Alford, of Sourton, who nets £40.20. Okehampton residents Mr Des Law, third, and V Roberts, fourth, each won £10.05 in the draw.
