TAVISTOCK Seconds hockey team entertained the visitors from the far west to an enjoyable game played with great spirit.
Tavistock attacked strongly and were unlucky not to score within the first few minutes. Knox and Rowe both had excellent games in midfield and Newman was reliable in the centre.
Tavistock's goal came from a run by Ralph who passed to Newman who, in turn laid on the goal for Greenaway. Tavistock continued to dominate and many of the forwards and midfield saw their shots just miss the target.
During the second half, Tavistock pressed home the attack with Penzance's attacks being calmly frustrated by the defence.
More goals should have been scored and goalkeeper Moyse only touched the ball twice during the game.
