A BIG ‘thank you’ to the residents of Mary Tavy for the support given on Remembrance Sunday.
Fifteen minutes in the rain and wind was a small sacrifice to make when compared with that of the men on the war memorial. A fitting service in the Methodist Chapel included some lovely hymns and an appropriate talk by the Rev Paul Smith. Also, a joy to have some children from our local school reading prayers they had written themselves.
Thanks also to Sylvia, our parish organist, for playing and to Charlie for reading from the New Testament.
We were able to send £155 to the Royal British Legion.
