THREE members of Tavistock Swimming Club recently took part in the Exeter City Swimming Club May Meet.

In this competitive gala, Emily Attfield, Matt Edwards and Kieran Rookes produced excellent swims to achieve six top five placings and five personal best times, in the 11 events in which they competed.

Eleven-year-old Emily Attfield achieved PBs in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and the 200m freestyle events, while Kieran Rookes, competing in the boys 13 years age group, produced swims which resulted in a fourth place in the 50m freestyle, fifth in the 50m breaststroke, and seventh in the 100m breaststroke.

Matt Edwards competing in the boy's 15 year old age group gained second and third places in the 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle events respectively in personal best times, as well as a third place in the 100m freestyle and fifth in the 200m freestyle.

Well done to these swimmers for representing the club so well.
