SOME stunning displays were exhibited at the Lewdown Flower and Produce Show, eld on Saturday, August 27. Roy Stacey, chairman of the Victory Hall committee, welcomed everyone and thanked all who had entered exhibits, and those who had worked hard to put on the show. The children?s classes were of exceptional quantity and quality, which bodes well for the future of the show. The youngsters also did well in the open cookery section, taking many awards. In the children?s section the youngsters showed what they can do in the handicraft section, and the miniature gardens on a tray were of high quality. The floral art displays were exceptional, and patchwork and quilting were of a very standard. In the vegetable section there was keen competition for the prizes. The dahlias from Bryan Wonnacott were as always wonderful to view.
