CHAGFORD FC closed their season with their annual dinner and awards night at the Fingle Bridge Restaurant, last Friday. Following an excellent meal, the following awards were presented by club president David Watson:- First team — manager's player, Christian Crowther- Smith; players' player, Saul Scarry; most improved player, Andrew Davis. Reserves team — manager's player, Jamie Forsey; players' player - Jon Philpott; most improved, Martin Haxton. The clubperson of the year award was presented to Kyle Williams. Having helped out within all the behind the scenes areas Kyle is a popular recipient of this award, his enthusiasm and helpfulness being unbounded. The players now have a few weeks off though work still continues for the management teams, in preparation for a tilt at the South Devon Football League championship next season.
