'You're the one that I want' was certainly true at Kelly College last week as students put on a school version of 'Grease.'
The film, starring John Travolta as Danny and Olivia Newton-John as Sandy, was a big hit when it hit the screens in 1978. Taking the main parts in the Kelly production were Theodore Brown and Rebekah Hainsworth while the show was produced by Jeremy Balfour and choreographed by Kim Brown. The musical director was Chantal Whitfield while the crew were stage managed by Jessica Strutt.
With three evening performances and a special matinee for local primary school children on the Friday a lot of hard work went into the production — with the first read thorough back in May.'
Jeremy Balfour said:?'This modern classic has long been a favourite choice of many school pupils, but it was only when I started working here at Kelly College that I felt that I?had a company with the depth of skills to do justice to this enormous producton.'
