THROUGH you columns I wish to express the gratitude of the local Mary Budding Trust to all those who helped to ensure the success of the prize draw during the town's civic ball last Friday.

Our thanks go to all the private individuals attending the ball, who between them, contributed in excess of £550, and to those businesses in the town which so kindly provided prizes, the Bedford Hotel, Brown's, Gorton's and The Terrace, Lake's Pharmacy, Morrisons, Roots and Vines, Shhchocolate and Steevensons.

Our sincerest thanks go to all for their generous support in aid of the work which the trust does with the young children of West Devon.
