FIRST of all, a big thank you to your reporter for the leading article on our new ambulance, in last week?s Okehampton Times. May I please make one correction to that article ? the amount that we will get from the Okehampton Non-Ecclesiastical Trust is not £5,000, but is in fact a magnificent £7,500, which has allowed us to virtually buy the ambulance outright. We also omitted to mention the very generous £2,000 donation we received last year for the ambulance fund, from the Lions Club of Okehampton. We are so very grateful for the enormous support we have received, from everyone ranging from the mayor and town council down, with donations varying from the 20p Smartie collections by the SJA Cadets up to the large donations mentioned above. We will make every effort to continue to support and offer our services to the many events and organisations in the Okehampton and surrounding areas.
