COMMUNITY groups in South East Cornwall can tap into £4,000 of grant funding for healthy living projects. South East Cornwall Healthy Living Forum's small grants scheme uses the fund to provide grants of up to £200 for initiatives that help improve health in the Caradon district. To be eligible for funding, projects must either support community involvement through active recreation, support the arts for health within the community, promote health and well-being in the community or promote well-being through healthy food. Last year it helped to fund 29 different projects, including bramble bashing, band instruments and surf life saving training for youngsters. Sports groups, community gardens and music or drama schemes could all benefit. South East Cornwall Healthy Living Forum is made up of representatives from healthy living forums, town and parish forums, interested individuals and groups from the Caradon area. Groups interested in applying for grants should contact Liz Webb, Caradon's community health development worker, on 01579 348844, email [email protected]">[email protected]
